-====== Batch Sending ======

-Rather than sending your email to its intended recipients in a single blast, it is possible to send in timed batches to slow down a send. This is often a good idea to help manage resources in your organisation, from staff dealing with enquiries, to websites being able to handle traffic, or orders being picked and packed efficiently.
-
-===== Setting up batch sending =====
-
-Checking the box on the Send screen labelled Send in Batches will allow you to specify two parameters:
-
-^ Name ^ Description ^
-| Batch Size | The number of contacts to send in each batch. |
-| Delay | How long Sentori should wait before picking up the next batch of contacts to send to. |
-
-===== Batch sending example =====
-
-An organisation with a small sales team wish to email their list of 5,000 contacts. In order to manage their daily workloads they decide to send their email over the course of a week. To achieve this, they set the Batch Size to 1,000 contacts, the Delay to 24 hours, and schedule their email to send at 8am.
-
-The result is a batch of 1,000 emails being sent every day for five days at 8am.
-
-===== Batches and send speed =====
-
-In planning a batch send, it is useful to understand the speed at which your batches can be sent. Whilst there is no set speed, the following variables will affect your send rate:
-
-  * Whether you are on our shared IP pools or your own private IPs (and how many IPs you have).
-  * Your sender reputation, which greatly affects the rate at which destination mailservers will accept your emails.
-  * The volume of traffic on our shared service.
-  * The engagement of your contacts.
-
-As a very rough rule of thumb, users of our shared service with a clean list could consider an approximate maximum send speed of ~60,000/hour. In reality, we have senders who achieve much more than that and some that achieve a lot less.
-
-===== Cancelling batch sending =====
-
-Once an email has started batch sending, it is possible (via the Cancel/Reschedule option on the email's cog menu) to cancel the remaining batches and have the remainder of the emails (excluding the current batch) send in a single group.
